These characteristic curves were plotted by pumping pure water (low
dissolved gases) at 20°C, pressure of 1 atm, under a low positive
head condition and with hoses of identical diameter to the diameter
of the pump connections

Fluids with different characteristics can produce major variations:

Heavy fluids, i.e. with specific density greater than 1

•

Viscous fluids

•

Hot fluids

•

Fluids with high content of gases
