4.2 Main controls and parts of the radio
LCD Display
1. Received signal strength.
2. High/Low power selec � on.
3. Appears when DTMFST (DT-ST / DT + ANI / ANI-ST) is ac � vated.
4. These symbols show that you set a DCS or CTCSS code in tx or rx. In tx mode it appears while you are transmi � ng, while in
rx mode it is shown also in stand-by condi � on.
5. Appears when a posi � ve shi � is ac � vated.
6. Appears when a nega � ve shi � is enabled.
7. This le � er is displayed when the Dual Watch func � on is ac � ve.
8. This icon indicates the keypad lock . To unlock it press [

9. VOX func � on enabled.
10 . Reverse frequency
11 . Narrow bandwidth: N = narrow. When the wide (W) bandwidth is ac � vated, no icon is displayed.
12. Ba � ery level indicator. When the ba � ery is almost used up, the icon starts blinking and the transmission is blocked.
