This lever stops the machine from moving when it has been parked.

gears, the neutral position «N», and reverse

4.5 CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTING LEVER
There are five positions for this lever, shown as
«1» to «5» on the plate, which correspond to
various cutting heights from 3.0 to 7.0 cm
.
– To go from one position to another,
move the lever sideways and put it back in one
of the stop notches.
