Tape Operations Troubleshooting

Travan Portable USB Tape Drive User’s Guide

• Make sure you are using the correct type of tape cartridge, see

table 3

on page 12.
• You cannot use TR-4 tapes with the Travan 40GB drive.
• You cannot use TR-1, TR-2, TR-3 or QIC-80 tapes with either the

Travan 20GB or 40GB drives.

• Clean the tape mechanism, see

Cleaning the Tape Drive Mechanism

on page 12.
