Inserting a
Cartridge

To insert a tape cartridge into the magazine:

Open the library door.

Verify that all library SCSI library activity has stopped (the
message
Library Idle
will be displayed on the OCP).

Set the write-protect switch on the tape cartridge to the desired
position (see
figure 12 ).

Orient the tape cartridge with the write-protect switch at the
top (see
figure 12 ).
Note:
The cartridge is write-protected if the orange indicator
is visible. The cartridge is write-enabled if the orange
indicator is not visible.
