The following describes where to find the serial number for a Scalar 1000
library.
Physical Location

You can find the serial number inside the back of the library Control
Module on the left wall in the format
S/N
123456789
(for example,
201101112
).
Note:
Expansion Modules (EMs) on the Scalar 1000 are also
serialized, but provide an incorrect library serial number.
