INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
The following procedures show some of the basic installation applications. Remember that every installa-
tion is different, and the installer should adjust to insure that the appliance is installed properly in every
application.

Before hooking up the insert to the gas supply, be sure that the appliance you are installing is designed for
the type of gas being supplied to it. There is a serial number and listing label on the front grill area that
will indicate which type of gas it is designed to utilize. The gas valve also has a label telling the type of
fuel for which it is set up.
There is a 3/8” gas hookup located on the rear of the appliance. We recommend connecting the insert
with an approved flex gas line, as shown below. If flex gas lines are not approved in your area, you can
remove the burner tubes and the burner tray to access the valve, and use hard pipe to connect the
appliance to the gas supply.
