Setting Up the Printer

The DECnet interface option shares its configuration menu on the 
printer control panel with the TCP/IP interface option. Before begin-
ning the software installation, use the following instructions to config-
ure the DECnet-specific interface options (Administration/Emulations/
DECnet-TCP/IP menu). See your printer user's guide for instructions 
on how to use the printer control panel.

Mode Option

The default setting for the DECnet-TCP/IP interface Mode option is 
Enabled (that is, the interface is ready to communicate with the host). 
If you must disable the interface at any time, use the Mode option in 
the DECnet-TCP/IP menu. See “Disabling a Printer Interface” in 
chapter 6, “Troubleshooting.”
