Distribute the toner in the cartridge.

Hold the cartridge with both hands, and gently rock it from side-
to-side five or six times to distribute the toner.

Remove the tape seal.

Holding the cartridge in place with your left hand, use your right
hand to grasp the tab on the right side of the toner cartridge.

Grasp the clear plastic strip and pull it straight out. Discard the
plastic strip.
