8 USB Maintenance Port
8.1 Introduction
The ePAQ-94XX Maintenance Port is a standard USB type B port for connection to a
PC. It is used to program and troubleshoot the ePAQ-94XX. Using a PC with a USB port
and a straight USB type A-B cable, the ePAQ can be accessed in one of two ways, 1) via
configuration software to download configurations and flashload program link files, 2) via a
web browser or HyperTerminal (or other such terminal emulator program), to gain access
to included test panel functions.
8.2 Connections:
Connector Type: USB Type B right angle connector.
FP Designation: MAINT, J5
Port speed:
12 Mbit (USB 2.0, Full Speed). Actual data transfer rate is
rate is 230 Kbps max, due to UART data conversion.
Recommended cable : USB TYPE A-B cable, length per USB spec.
