Communications Ports

6.9 Ports 20 thru 35 (J13A thru J16D):

RS-232/485/Fiber ePAQ-9420 Only via Front Panel J13A thru J16D

RS-232/485 ePAQ-9425 Only via Rear Panel DB9 Ports 20 thru 35

6.9.1 Introduction

The ePAQ-9420 provides additional communications ports. Sixteen additional RS-

232/RS-485 ports (via RJ45 connectors, ports 20 thru 35), or eight additional serial fiber

ports (via ST connectors, ports 20/22/24/26/28/30/32/34) are provided.

The ePAQ-9425 provides additional communications ports. Sixteen additional RS-

232/RS-485 ports (viaDB9 connectors, ports 20 thru 35), are provided.

Each RS-232/RS-485 port can be configured for either single ended RS-232 interface,

or for RS-485 differential half duplex interface.

6.9.2 RS-232/RS-485 Connections (RJ45):

LEDs

RS232/RS485, J13A/B/C/D, J14A/B/C/D,

J15A/B/C/D, J16A/B/C/D.

Connector Type:

Four connector arrays (1x4) of four 8-Pin RJ45 connectors

each.

Connections for J13B thru J16D are identical to those listed in the table above for J13A.
