INSTALLING AND USING THE WWVB OR DCF RECEIVER
Ensure you have enabled DCF or WWVB reception and set the
appropriate time offset value, plus WWVB DST disable bit if needed
(probably only needed if you are in Arizona). Disconnect main
power to the clock. Then, insert the receiver module as shown
below.

Some Notes on WWVB / DCF Reception:
Many other electrical applicances such as TVs and Mobile phones
reception when in close proximity. Metal objects cause reception
problems too. It is suggested to start off with the antenna by a
window, in the approximate direction of the signal Do not point the
antenna at the direction of the signal, but have the antenna side-on
to the signal direction.
Once a good signal has been obtained, try different locations, and
progressively further from the window.
Place and design your case so the antenna is as far away from the
PCB as possible.
Once the clock has detected a valid WWVB or DCF start pulse, the
‘SECS’ LED with flash red/green whilst aquiring the frame, which
lasts for 1 minute. If successful, the clock will show the correct
time and the LED will flash green indicating a valid sync in the last
24 hours.
