Firmware Updates
PowerPlay has been designed to accept firmware updates either remotely or via the SD card. For remote firmware
updates it is required that the SD card be inserted into the unit and remain unlocked.
Firmware updates are NOT forced to the device. Instead it is recommended that each firmware update be tested with
any 3
rd
party control systems to ensure compatibility prior to updating the device.
Remote Firmware Updates
New Firmware updates may be applied remotely through the GlobalNet site. Upon drill down to a specific
PowerPlay device any new firmware update (if available) will be noted in the ‘Control’ tab, just below the
Firmware Version.
Click ‘UPDATE FIRMWARE’ to download and update the firmware directly onto the device.
NOTE: In order to perform remote updated the SD card which was shipped with the device must be inserted into
the SD card slot in the rear of the device, and remain unlocked.
