4. Vadi utility
“Vadi” Utility is an immediate indicator to inform users when bad sectors occur
as users access the file which is now being read from the backup area,
providing flawless and uninterrupted work.
“Vadi
＂
also records bad sectors history. Depending on the recorded history,
users can take the necessary action like backing up important data to the
secondary storage device or replacing a new HDD.
4-1. Install Vadi utility
After you set RAIDm1 BIOS and installing the driver, you could follow below
steps for installing “Vadi” utility continuously.
Installing Steps:
Step 1: Insert PS8852 driver utilities CD in the CD-ROM drive.
Step 2: If your system is Windows 2000or Windows XP,
please enter
D:\Driver\SATA\Vadi UTILITY\Vadi
\x32 directory and
double click “VadiRun.exe” file.
If your system is Windows XP x64, please enter D:\Driver\SATA\Vadi
UTILITY\Vadi
\x64 directory and double click “VadiRun.exe” file.
Step 3: Then Vadi installation screen shows as below, please double click
“INSTALL” item.
Step 4: After installation, “Vadi is installed successfully!” message appears
and “Vadi.exe.” file has been copied to “\Program files\Vadi” directory
which the Windows drive exist.
Step 5: Click “OK” to finish Vadi installation.
