Is the stroke preferably set to 60 mm when priming?

tion? Install a pulsation damper if you need to.

Is oil leaking somewhere?

Has the oil level dropped?

3.

Does the liquid end become dangerously hot in high ambient tem‐

peratures, with hot feed chemicals, or at a high dosing rate?

6.4  Bleeding the hydraulics

1.

Loosen the locking nut (A) on the vent valve and turn the vent screw

(B) clockwise to its lower stop, approximately 4.5 turns.

2.

Allow the pump to run, preferably with a long stroke length, for

approx. 2 minutes.

ð

A little oil and air escape.

3.

Stop the pump when no more oil and air escape.

4.

Turn the vent screw (B) back to the upper stop and secure it with

the locking nut (A).
