How does TENS work?
Promed tens 1000 s

works by passing harmless electrical

signals into the body from the electrode pads. This relieves pain in

two ways:

• Firstly, it blocks the body’s pain signals which are normally

transmitted from the area of damage through the nerve fibres to

the brain - TENS interrupts these pain signals.

• Secondly, TENS stimulates the body’s production of endorphins

– its own natural painkillers.

Possible TENS applications

Generally the

Promed tens 1000 s

shall be used for the following

medical indications or the following complaints as a TENS unit for

treatment:

For symptomatic relief of chronic intractable pain

•

For post traumatic pain (acute pain occurring)

•

For post surgical pain (pain caused by surgery)
