The IP Filter Session table displays the following fields for each
current IP session:
Field
Description
Session Index
The ID assigned by the system to the IP session (all
sessions, whether or not they are affected by an IP
filter rule, are assigned a session index)
Time to expire
The number of seconds in which the connection will
automatically expire
Protocol
The underlying IP protocol used on the connection,
such as TCP, UDP, IGMP, etc.)
I/F
The interface on which the IP filter rule is effective
IP Address
The IP addresses involved in the communication. The
first one shown is the initiator of the communication.
Port
The hardware addresses of the ports involved in the
communication
In/Out Rule Index The number of the IP filter rule that applies to this
session (assigned when the rule was created)
In/Out Action
The action (accept, deny, or unknown), being taken
on data coming into or going out from the interface.
This action is specified in the rule definition.
Actions
Provides an icon you can click on ( ) to delete the IP
session. When you delete a session, the
communication is discontinued.
You can click
to display newly accumulated data.
