NOTE: 

If you use an external temperature control (external thermostat), please 

follow the instructions below: 

  

 

 

Note 1: Turn off the power to the supply line for the heater before you select the 

build-in / external thermostat.

Please find the control switch on the back of the heater as s

hown in 

Figure 11 

and shift the switch to “II” position. Then the heater will be controlled by 

external thermostat.

Note4.

 The external temperature control (external thermostat) should comply with CUL 

or CSA  standard requirements.

 

Note5.

 The lead wire of external temperature control (

external

 thermostat) must have a 

minimum gauge of 16 AWG.

 

 

 

External thermostat installation:
