About how the Decoder works and automatic searching
The Decoder system doesn’t need to be configured as it is totally automatic. The
ProntoNet IP Decoder is able to synchronise automatically to the following

The ProntoNet IP Decoder operation modes (Proprietary
Protocols)
The operation of the ProntoNet IP Decoder offers two operational modes:
UNICAST and MULTICAST.
V.3.1
UNICAST communications
The term UNICAST is used in the networking world to refer to the connection to
a single destination. Applied to the ProntoNet IP Decoder, this is when a point-
to-point connection is created between two units. This connection will be always
unidirectional, due to the lack of an encoder in the ProntoNet IP Decoder.
V.3.1.1.
Establishing a UNICAST connection from the ProntoNet IP Decoder
The procedure for establishing a connection is very similar to that of making an
ISDN call; we enter the call initiation menu in the web page by clicking in the line
status bar and enter the IP address of the unit we wish to connect to.
