5.3.2.2 HTTPS

<HTTPS> allows secure connections bet

ween the IP Camera and web browser

using <Secure Socket Layer (SSL)> or <T

ransport Layer Security (TLS)>, which

ensure  camera  settings  or  Username/   Password  info  fr om  snooping.  It  is
required  to  install  a  self-signed  certif icate  or  a  CA-signed  certificate  for
implementing <HTTPS>.

Click  the  <HTTPS>  tab,  and  the  HTTPS  se

tting page is shown as the figure

below.

To use HTTPS on the IP Camera, a HTTP

S certificate must be installed. The

HTTPS certificate can be obtained by either creating

and sending a certificate

request to a Certificate Authority (C A) or creating a self-signed HTTPS
certificate, as described below.
