Problem
:
Top Major Flaps Have a Gap in Center.
•
Check the case is correctly sized for contents.
•
Check that shoulder compression is squeezing top flaps together.
Problem:
After Taping
top Major Flaps are Wrinkled on Leading Edge
.
•
Check that top head is not adjusted too low.
•
Check if tape bracket is adjusted too low.
Problem:
Top Major Flaps Have a Tapered Gap or Have a Gap/Overlap
Combination.
•
Check that case dimensions are square.
•
Check plastic shoulder support guides on Snap Folders.
•
Check that tape unwind tension is not excessive. This can cause the major flaps to be pulled back
causing rear gap.
Problem
:
Top Major Flaps Fold Down but Leading Edge is Lifted up by
Tape and Folded Back
•
Tape head may be set too high. Readjust machine to correct box height
•
Check to ensure tape head bracket has not been set too high. Normally positioning is factory pre-set,
however adjustment may be occasionally needed when running overfill or underfill cases.
Adjustments may have to be made on a “Trial and Error” basis until optimum setting has been
obtained.
