Optional Equipment

CT Installation (continued)

Connect the CT interconnect cable to connector P1 on the CT board.

(See Figure 6–2.)

Connect the CT power cable to the power connector on the CT board.

Connect the orange CT I/O cable to pins 1 and 2 of connector P2 on the

CT board. The beveled edge of the connector must face toward the

board.

10. Connect the gray CT I/O cable to pins 3 – 8 of connector P2 on the CT

board. Pin 1 on the cable connector faces up.

11. Seat the CT board in the bracket guides.

CAUTION

In the next step, make sure to adjust cable slack under the CCB board

so as not to crush the CT cables.

12. Insert the common controller board in its guides in the card cage and

seat it in the bottom connector.

13. Connect the CT interconnect cable to connector J1 on the common

controller board.

14. Connect the printer control panel cable connector to connector J3 on the

common controller board.

15. Install the mechanism driver PCBA (page 5–48).

16. Connect the CCB/Mech. Driver interconnect cable.

17. Install the power supply PCBA (page 5–50).

18. Connect power supply connector P1 to the power supply PCBA.

19. Connect the CT power cable connectors to the power supply and

mechanism driver PCBAs.

20. Install the paper guide assembly (page 5–42).

21. Set the coax/twinax switch on the I/O plate to the type that will be used.

22. Install the appropriate overlay on the printer control panel.
