THE HIGH PRESSURE HOSE MAINTENANCE
1. Inspect the hose for cuts, bulges, or leaks which can develop from kinking or wear. If damage is found,
immediately replace the hose.
2. Inspect the couplings for damage. Immediately replace the hose if damage is found.
SPRAY GUN MAINTENANCE
1. Make sure that the spray gun is connected securely.
2. Inspect the spray gun safety and make sure the spray gun trigger springs back upon release.
NOZZLE MAINTENANCE
If a pulsing sensation is felt while squeezing the trigger, the nozzle may be dirty or clogged and should be
cleaned immediately.
1. To clean the nozzle, shut off the engine and turn off the water.
2. Remove the nozzle from the spray wand making sure that the nozzle is pointing away from you and in a
safe direction.
3. Use a small paper clip to dislodge any foreign materials which are clogging or restricting the spray tip.
4. Flush any debris out of the nozzle by back flushing with a garden hose for 30 to 60 seconds.
5. Reconnect the nozzle to the spray wand.
6. Turn the water supply back on a start the engine.
CHECKING THE SPARK PLUG
1. Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug.
2. Before removing the spark plug, clean the area around its base to prevent debris from entering the engine.
3. Clean carbon deposits off the electrode with a wire brush. Check the electrode gap and slowly adjust to
0.762 mm (0.03 in.) if necessary.
4. Reinstall the spark plug and tighten to 16 to 20 ft-lb (22.0 to 26.9 Nm).
5. If the spark plug is worn, replace only with specified replacement parts. The spark plug should be
replaced annually.
REPAIRING LEAKING CONNECTIONS
Purchase O-ring / Maintenance kit through the nearest authorized service centre or contact Princess Auto.
AIR FILTER MAINTENANCE
A dirty air filter will reduce the life span of the engine, make starting the engine difficult, and reduce the
unit’s performance.
1. To clean, remove the air filter cover.
2. Carefully pull the air filter out by lifting up along the edges.
3. Remove dirt from the filter by tapping on it or having it blown out.
4. Reinstall the air filter so that it seals and replace the air filter cover.
STORING THE PRESSURE WASHER
If storing the pressure washer for 30 days or more, follow the below procedures:
• Add fuel stabilizer to the gasoline to keep the gasoline from going stale and to prevent gum deposits from
forming on the carburetor. Run the engine for a couple of minutes to circulate the fuel stabilizer.
• Add PumpSaver to protect the pump from freezing or damage caused by mineral deposits.
• Empty the fluid from all hoses, detergent bucket, and the pump.
• Disconnect the spark plug wire and clean the spark plug. Leave the spark plug wire disconnected.
