                              • Never start the motor without 

installing the guide bar first (

A

), the cutting chain (

B

) and 

the bar guard (

C

). If these parts are not in place the user 

is exposed to severe injuries.

• Set the switch in the OFF position.

• Pull the chain brake backwards (

D

) to assure it is in 

working position (see page 8).

                           • Wear heavy-duty protective gloves to 

manipulate the chain safely and prevent cuts.

• Remove the nuts (

E

) with a 1/2” combination or hex key.

• Remove the bar guard.

• Extend the chain onto a flat and clean surface in an oval 

shape, together with the chain bar and straighten any 

twisted link. The cutting sprockets shall face the chain 

displacement direction, otherwise reverse the chain 

position.

• Set the bar onto the mounting bolts in the chain saw.

• Set the chain linking it onto the cogwheel.

• Set the chain traction sprockets around the bar slot.
