. Open the ACETYLENE valve on the torch approximately 1/2

turn.

. Use the casserole lighter to start the flame.

. Turn the ACETYLENE valve on the torch until excess black

smoke is cleared.

. Open the OXYGEN valve of the torch until the neutral flame (

)

appears.

Never raise the pressure in the acetylene

gauge above 103.4 kPa (15 PSI) (1.03) bar).
