The water flows through a
stainless steel filter screen to
remove large contaminants
such as hair and lint. This
screen is set at an angle so
that as these contaminants
buildup, they will be flushed
to sewer.

Should power supply be
interrupted or the
H
2
grO
pump develop a fault, the
greywater level will rise in the
pumpwell, overflow through
a weir below the filter screen
and discharge safely to sewer.

In the unlikely event that
the council sewer becomes
blocked and backs up into the
H
2
grO
, a level sensing switch
mounted inside the electrical
enclosure will prevent the
pump operating and divert
the valve to sewer. Once the
sewer blockage is rectified
the system will need to be
cleaned before resuming
normal operation.
