OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
TYPICAL INSTALLATION
To begin using the tool:
1. As a standard practice, drain water from the
Figure 2
air compressor tank and air lines prior to use
each day (reference your compressor
operators manual for detailed instructions).
2. Turn on the air compressor and allow it to
build up pressure.
3. Adjust the air compressor’s regulator or the
supply line regulator to 90 PSI.
4. Remove the head of the grease gun from the
container tube.
5. Connect the air tool to the air hose quick
coupler and press the trigger to actuate the air
piston in the head of the grease gun. NOTE: If
the piston does not move back and forth, see the “Troubleshooting Guide”.
6. Grease gun is ready to load grease.
Always disconnect the grease gun from the air supply before loading
grease.
Loading grease:
This air grease gun is designed to load in three ways.
• Using a standard 14oz. grease cartridge.
• Loading the container tube with a filler pump.
• Loading the container tube by bulk filling.
Cartridge loading (Figure 3)
a. Remove the head of the grease gun from the container tube.
b. Pull the plunger handle on the container tube completely out.
b1. Remove the seal or tab end from the end of the grease cartridge.
b2. Take index finger and grab approximately 2 tablespoons of grease and
Figure 4
coat the first 3”- 4” of the end of the container tube (figure 4).
b3. Press the handle release and let plunger go all the way to the end.
Pull the plunger handle approximately 4-5 times so the rubber
plunger gets coated with grease. This will make the plunger go into
the grease cartridge easier.
c. Insert the grease cartridge (open end first) all the way into the container tube.
d. Reassemble the head of the grease gun to the container tube.
e. Press the handle release to release the plunger handle.
f. Push the plunger handle all the way in while pressing the handle release.
g. Press the air vent valve to release any excess air trapped inside.
