Tool will not

performance. 1. Excessive drain on the air
hose. Incorrect size or
type of hose connectors.

insufficient flow.
1. Check the air hose and confirm
the hose fitting is correct for
the inlet bushing.
2. Depressurize system and drain
tank and air hose of water.
3. Ensure tool is connected to a
compressor with a rate flow
that matches the tool.
The jaws will
not open. 1. The nosepiece is loose.
2. The jaws are dirty. 1. Tighten the nosepiece.
2. Remove and clean the jaws.
The stroke is
too short. 1. The rivet pin is not properly
inserted into the riveter.
2. The riveter is low on
hydraulic oil.
3. The rivet is the wrong size
4. Piston stroke is
misadjusted.
1. Fully insert the rivet pin.
2. Top up the hydraulic oil
reservoir and prime the riveter.
3. Use the proper rivet length.
4. Adjust the piston stroke.
The riveter
has weak
pulling action. 1. Low air pressure.

compressor.
3. Damaged air compressor.

hydraulic oil.
1. Check the regulator to verify
that it is set to 90 PSI.
2. Upgrade to a suitable
compressor of adequate
capability.
3. Have the compressor serviced
by a qualified service centre.
4. Top up the hydraulic oil
reservoir and prime the riveter.
Leaking air.
1. There are poor hose
connections in the system.
2. Damaged O-ring.
3. Dirty air valve or air inlet.
1. Reconnect the air system
using thread sealant tape on
the fittings.
2. Replace the O-ring.
3. Clean and lubricate with
pneumatic tool oil.
