5. Release pressure within the pump once the task is complete by loosening
the piston rod nut and lowering the pump handle. Allow enough time for
the liquid to drain out of the pump and upper suction tube.
6. Remove the pump from the drum when ready. Unscrew from the barrel
and set in a container to catch any remaining fluid that drains out. Clean
the pump and suction tube before storing.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efficient, easier to
control and will have fewer problems.
2. Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace damaged or
worn components. Only use identical replacement parts when servicing.
3. Check the pump’s seals (#2, 6, 21, 27) and suction tubes (#26, 28)
immediately after use to identify potential leaks.
4. Keep the tool handles clean, dry and free from oil/grease at all times.
5. Maintain the tool’s labels and name plates. These carry important information.
If unreadable or missing, contact Princess Auto Ltd. for replacements.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel should repair the tool. An
improperly repaired tool may present a hazard to the user and/or others.
CLEANING
Rinse the pump and suction tube with an appropriate cleaner after removing
from a barrel. Check the cleaning recommendations in the liquid’s SDS.
LUBRICATION
Inspect and lubricate the tool when required. Only use light oil to lubricate the
tool. Apply a coating to all seals to prevent them from drying out. Apply a drop
of oil to any moving part or where metal rubs against metal.
DISPOSAL
Recycle a tool damaged beyond repair at the appropriate facility.
Contact your local municipality for a list of disposal facilities or by-laws for
electronic devices, batteries, oil or other toxic liquids.
