MAINTENANCE
Proper maintenance is essential for safe, economical, and trouble-free operation. It will also help to
reduce air pollution.
WARNING! Improper maintenance, or failure to correct a problem before operation, can cause a
malfunction in which you can be seriously injured or killed.
1. Break in period: After the first 50 hours of use or the first season, change the pump and
engine oil.
2. Check the pump and engine oil before each use.
Fuel Unleaded gasoline only

Pump Oil Mobilfluid 424
NOTE: Change the pump and engine oil every 100 hours of use or as needed.
3. Change the pump oil: Drain the used oil from the bottom of the pump and refill via the vented
cap on the top of the pump until the oil level is halfway up the site glass with Mobilfluid 424
pump oil. See figure 23.
4. Change the engine oil: Drain the used oil into a container and refill with 10W30 motor oil via
the fill plug / oil check dipstick. See figure 24.
5. Engine Maintenance: Visually inspect the spark plug electrode and air filter and replace as
necessary. Dirty spark plugs or spark plugs with build-up should be replaced. See figure 25.
6. Water Inlet Filter: Visually inspect the water inlet filter before each use, clean any debris and
replace when damaged or lost. Do not operate without a filter. See figure 26.
