e. Gasoline is extremely flammable and is explosive under certain conditions. Do not smoke or allow
flames or sparks where the generator is refueled or where gasoline is stored. Refuel in a well-ventilated
area with the engine stopped.
f. Fuel vapours are extremely flammable and may ignite after the engine has started. Make sure that any
spilled fuel has been wiped up before starting the generator.
6. Do not let children operate the generator, and do not let anyone who is unfamiliar with the generator to
operate it without proper supervision.
7. Never remove the warning labels. Generators provide safe and dependable service if operated according
to instructions. Read and understand the owner’s manual before operating your generator. You can help
prevent accidents by being familiar.
NOTE:
Safety labels warn you of potential hazards that can cause serious injury. Read them carefully. Contact
Princess Auto if a label comes off or becomes hard to read.
CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING
WARNING! Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide gas - never start or run this engine indoors.
Opening windows and doors is not enough to ventilate the area.
Carbon monoxide is a colourless and odourless gas that is difficult to detect. Carbon monoxide poisoning results
from inhalation of the gas and may be lethal if left untreated. Evacuate all people to an area with clean air and seek
immediate medical attention for any person experiencing the following symptoms:
1. Headache
2. Confusion
3. Shortness of breath
4. Weakness
5. Fatigue
6. Dizziness
7. Unstable gait (stumbling around)
8. Nausea & vomiting
9. Unconsciousness
10. Flu-like symptoms
NOTE:
As a precaution, install a carbon monoxide detector in any work area that has gasoline-powered equipment.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
1. Disconnect power supply. Disconnect the tool from the power supply when not in use, before cleaning,
servicing or changing any parts or accessories.
2. Protect yourself against electrical shock when working on electric equipment. Avoid body contact with
grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, cooking stoves and refrigerators. There is an increased
chance of electrical shock if your body is grounded.
3. Double insulated tools are equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other.) This plug will
fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fully fit in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install a polarized outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
Double insulation eliminates the need for a three-wire grounded power cord and grounded power
supply system.
4. Grounded tools must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with
all codes and ordinances. Never remove the grounding prong or modify the plug in any way. Do not use
any adapter plugs. Check with a qualified electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly
grounded. If the tool should electronically malfunction or break down, grounding provides a low resistance
path to carry electricity away from the user.
