The control box has five wires:
• Black oil alarm with female bullet connector
(Fig. 2-1) .
• Red starting wire with ring connector (Fig. 2-2).
• Black power off with male bullet connector
(Fig. 2-3).
• Brown charge coil with male bullet connector
(Fig. 2-4).
• Black and white charge coil with female
connector (Fig. 2-5).
The engine has three wires, a relay pin and a connection
bolt:
• Starter motor bolt (Fig. 3-1).
• Electric relay pin (Fig. 3-2).
• Black oil alarm with male bullet connector (Fig. 3-3).
• Black power off with female bullet connector
(Fig. 3-4).
• Brown charge coil with female bullet connector
(Fig. 3-5).
The engine and control box wiring have matching colours and ends to assist in
making the correct connections.
1.
Unscrew the hex nut, lock nut and washer from the starter motor bolt (Fig. 3-1).
2.
Slide the red starting wire’s (Fig. 2-2) connector ring onto the bolt.
3.
Slide the washer, lock nut and hex nut onto the bolt. Tighten the nut until the
lock washer compresses.
4.
Push the box’s brown wire male bullet connector (Fig. 2-4) into the engine’s
brown wire female bullet connector (Fig. 3-5).
5.
Push the engine’s black oil alarm male connector (Fig. 3-3) into the control
box’s female connector (Fig. 2-1).
6.
Push the black power off male bullet connector (Fig. 2-3) into the engine’s
power off black wire female connector (Fig. 3-4).
7.
Push the control box’s black and white wire female connector (Fig. 2-5) onto
the electric relay pin (Fig. 3-2).
