Loosen the screws (d) on the bottom of the
U-handle base (9), place the U-handle in the
preferred position and tighten the screws.
Installing the nylon line
Safety Alert: Nylon line and cutting blade cannot
be installed simultaneously. Nylon line is for use
on grass and cutting blade for tall grass and
bushes.
Place the plastic guard (e) on the gear box flange
(f) by installing the 3 screws, washer and tighten.
Rotate the spool on the gear box until the hole
and the sleeve align, insert the pin into the hole,
install the nylon line wheel cutting attachment
and tighten counter-clockwise. Remove the pin.
