GENERAL STEP-BY-STEP GUILDLINES FOR
INSTALLING A PORTER WALL–MOUNTED BACKSTOP
On folding backstops, utilize a speed square on the
wood pad and edge of the hinge plate. Be certain
to scribe pencil lines on the wood pad at the extension
pipe centers. Use the hinge plate as a drilling template,
aligning the holes as shown over the pencil marks.
On stationary backstops, you may utilize
the template below for locating the holes,
or simply construct a wood jig as shown
and utilize the hinge angles as drilling templates.
