Automatic Cleaning Mechanism - Quick Guide
Please take time to familiarise yourself with your filter by reading through all the later
pages of this booklet - especially the safety guidelines.
The auto-clean motor works from the same mains-power supply used to power the UVC
unit. There are no additional power cables to consider.
Run your filter as any standard presurised pond filter.
Pumped water enters the filter.
Clean water exits the filter.
Cleaning
When foam filters get dirty the orange cleaning indicator on lid will display.
user does not have to wait for this signal - filter foams can be cleaned anytime and a reg-
ular cleaning regime will keep the pond healthy.
Optional
Switch pond pump off (this makes Control Dial easier to turn and reduces water loss)
Control Dial
Turn Dial to ‘Clean’ position.
After a brief pause the cleaning rotors will begin to rotate cleaning the foam filters
housed inside the filter unit and ejecting the dirty water away from the pond (via ‘waste’)
Pump left running during operation
Dirty water escape via the dedicated waste outlet.
Once you think enough cleaning has been undertaken (we suggest 45 seconds
but it depends on many factors) return the blue Control Dial back to the ‘pond’
position
Pump left off during operation
Switch your pump on and watch waste flow out of waste outlet
Turn the Dial back to ‘pond’
PLEASE NOTE - the filter cleaning mechanism will emit a warning sound (a beep) after
approximately 2 minutes running. This is to guard against users running an ‘auto clean’
and forgetting to switch back to ‘standard running’. If left auto-cleaning unattended the
pond could empty its content via the waste outlet. Please operate with care.
