14. TROUBLESHOOTING – TIPS

PROBLEM

CAUSE

SOLUTION

The appliance does not start.

No power.

Main switch (I) off

Check that the appliance has been

disconnected from the mains, as in-

dicated in Section 1.

Turn on the main switch (I).

Suction power is decreased.

Nozzle, flexible vacuum hose

extension

hoses

are

blocked.

Turn the appliance off and unplug

it. Clean the filter and remove any

blockages of tubes and accessories.

Water leaks out when vacuuming

liquids.

Float blocked.

Clean the water filter assembly.

Loss of steam or drops of water

between the connection of the ac-

cessories.

The seals are damaged.

Replace the seals.

The appliance is on but does not

supply steam.

The appliance is not pressuri-

sed yet.

Wait for the light (J) to go off.

No steam comes out, light (M) re-

mains on with buzzer sounding.

No more water in the tank (H).

Turn off the appliance and fill it up

again, as described in the chapter

“FILLING THE WATER (H) AND DE-

TERGENT (D) TANK".

The appliance does not vacuum, li-

ght (M) is flashing.

Dirt collection bucket is full.

Turn off the appliance, remove the

container and empty it. Top up the

water level as described in the

chapter “PREPARATION OF DIRT

CONTAINER".

Light (M) flashing and acoustic si-

gnal.

Shortage of water in the boiler. Turn off the appliance and then turn

it on again. If the defect continues,

please contact an authorised servi-

ce centre, see the chapter "NO WA-

TER IN BOILER".

No detergent comes out, light (L)

flashing and acoustic signal.

No more detergent in the tank

(D).

Turn off the appliance and top up

the level of detergent as described

in the chapter “FILLING THE WA-

TER (H) AND DETERGENT (D)

TANK".

The detergent function does not

come on.

Sheath missing

Insert the steam/vacuuming sheath.

Should the problems persist, contact an Authorised Polti Service Centre (see www.polti.com for the up-

to-date list) or Customer Services.
