5.3.4 Receiving a “Position Reply” call
1. When “Position Reply” received, the Alert tone sound and the “POSITION
ACk” message on 1st line and display the sender GPS data.
2. The time & position could be stored and able to output to the NMEA port for
external Chart-plotter.
5.3.5 Receiving a geographic area call
A GEOGRAPHIC AREA CALL are received by vessels by within a specific geo

graphical boundary area.
1. When you receive notification of a geographical call, press any key to can
-
cel the alert. The radio tunes to the disgnated channel by press ENT key or
CANCEL key to normal mode with original channel. The time and the user
MMSI are displayed on the screen and the call data is stored in the call log.
2. Monitor the working channel for an announcement from the calling vessel.
5.3.6 Handling incoming calls while the equipment is engaged
When radio is engaged in handling an non-distress automated procedure and
a received distress call automated procedure , received another DSC mes

sages that are pertinent to the station but not the currently active automated
procedure are handled as described in as below:

higher priority than the current call the equipment will display as shown:
