To access the control- terminal connections, remove 
the front case panel by removing the filter, taking 
out the four front screws, the upper two screws from 
the top of the panel and the shipping screws on each
 side, if present. (Discard the four side shipping 
 screws, if present).

ON/OFF switches

The unit on/off switch is located on the front of 
the unit.
To turn on the unit, push the on/off switch up.
To turn off the unit, 

WARNING: The on/off switch will remove 

power from the unit but the power cord 

terminals will still be live. You must disconnect 

power by unplugging power cord prior to 

servicing.

Details of terminals

Red-24VAC terminal

For obtaining 24VAC operating voltage from the unit

Purple-LS terminal

Turn ON unit: connect R terminal to LS terminal then release for one 

time within 5 seconds.

Turn OFF unit: connect R terminal to LS terminal then release for 

two times within 5 seconds.

Force shut down: connect R terminal to LS terminal for over 5 

seconds.

Note: After force shut down, you can turn the unit ON again by 

handheld remote controller or the control panel.

Green-high fan speed terminal

When this terminal is connected to the R terminal, the fan blower will 

run on high speed.

Blue-reversing valve terminal

When this terminal is connected to the R terminal, the reversing 

valve is energized. Should the compressor be locked out

or disabled, the electric heater shall provide backup.

Yellow-compressor terminal

When this terminal is connected to the R terminal, the compressor 

will be switched on (Green-high fan speed or Orangelow

fan speed terminals must also be connected to the R terminal as 

well.)

White-heater terminal

When this terminal is connected to the R terminal, electric heater will 

be switched on (Green-high fan speed or Orangelow

fan speed terminals must also be connected to the R terminal.)

Orange-low fan speed terminal

When this terminal is connected to the R terminal, the fan blower will 

run on low speed.

Black-common terminal

24VAC common to provide opposite polarity voltage to wall 

thermostat.
