ISTORTION
: The Corsa Digital Compass
detects when outside magnetic interfer-
ence is compromising compass accuracy
and displays the
DISTORTION
icon in
the upper left corner. Distortion occurs
when there has been a significant change
in the surrounding magnetic fields, such
as when a pocketknife is brought close to
the Corsa Digital Compass. Metal from
many objects cause inaccurate readings
in magnetic compasses, but unlike other
compasses, the Corsa Digital Compass
detects this interference and alerts you.
