The Frankfort plane light is located inside the column.
The light’s position can be adjusted if needed. This is
done by rotating the thumb wheel below the light slot.
4. Rotate the C-arm 90 degrees clockwise by selecting
the 90° button at the bottom of the screen. This will
give you a better view for checking the TMJ light
position.
Select the button again if you wish to rotate the C-
arm back to the original position.
5. Use the positioning joystick to adjust the TMJ light.
The TMJ light has to coincide with the patient’s
temporomandibular joint.
6. Check that the midsagittal plane light and the
Frankfort plane light are still correctly positioned.
Reposition them if necessary.
NOTE
FOR DOUBLE TMJ EXPOSURES:
You can set the X-ray unit so that the imaging position is
automatically moved forward for the open jaw exposure (2/
2). To do this, select Settings > Program > 2200 Program
Features > TMJ 2/2 Shift and adjust the setting with the
minus or plus sign (e.g. 10 mm).
