4.2.7 Digital Input/Output 

Digital Input

 allows user to log external device (such as industrial cooler). System will log a user customized message into 

system log and issue SNMP trap. 

Digital Output

 allows user to monitor whether the power or DCD/DSR signal has changed, and let system issue a high or low 

signal to an external device (such as alarm) when power fails. The Configuration screen in 

Figure 4-2-7 

appears.

The page includes the following fields: 

 

Object 

Description 

 

Enable

 

Check the Enable checkbox to enable Digital Input / output function. 

Uncheck the Enable checkbox to disable Digital input / output function. 

 

DI Condition

 

Allows user to select High to Low or Low to High. This means a signal received 

by system is from High to Low or from Low to High. It will trigger an action that 

logs a customized message or issue the message from the switch.   

 

Event Description

 

Allows user to set a customized message for Digital Input function alarm. 

 

Action 

Allows user to record alarm message to System log, or issues out via SNMP trap. 

As default SNMP trap is disabled, please enable them first if you want to issue 

alarm message via them. 

 

Event

 

Alarm will sound when power and connection fails;Digital Input 0 (DI 0) and 

Digital Input 1(DI 1) means Digital Output has detected these events. Then 

Digital Output would be triggered according to the settings of the condition. 

 

Power Alarm 

Allows user to choose which power module that needs to be monitored. 

 

Monitoring of DCD 
Change 

Allows user to choose which port that needs to be monitored when DCD signal 

changes 

 

Monitoring of DSR 
Change 

Allows user to choose which port that needs to be monitored when DSR signal 

changes.
