Hand-operated PISTER Multicoupler PMK®
2. Installation
Commissioning only by qualified personnel. Use adequate protective equipment.
It is recommended to install the male couplers at the fixed plate (machine) and the female couplers at the
mobile plate (tool). Avoid that the female couplers will be loaded with impulse pressure in disconnected
condition.
Observe working data versus the operating data of the PMK (connections, media, pressure, temperature).
Adequate measures must be implemented to avoid overpressure and hydraulic shock pressure.
Plan enough space for operation and maintenance. The PMK or the lever extension must not barricade any
emergency exit or route way.
PMK must be fixed with adequate mounting material on the machine.
Avoid improper tensions, stresses and bending moments at PMK and couplers.
The couplers and the mechanical parts of the PMK must be in clean and undamaged condition. Install the
hoses at the couplers. Prevent contact between hoses with the lever system to avoid the danger of
decoupling under pressure
. An installation with tubes on the couplings is not allowed! (improper
forces and moments)
ATTENTION
: PMK with hydraulic locking device: hold up adapter of
hydraulic locking with adequate tool during installation of hydraulic line!
Always install the hydraulic locking in direction to the machine.
Check the PMK executing some duty cycles after installation of the system.
Removing the mobile plate the male and female couplers must be protected
against damages and impurity. Use docking station for the mobile plate and
protection plate for the fixed plate.
3. Connection
Insert mobile plate.
ATTENTION
: clean the male and female couplers and mobile plate before connecting. Do not use
aggressive cleaners!
If applicable insert the lever extension.
Connect the PMK. The raster must proper snap into place. If applicable remove the lever extension.
DANGER, risk of injury: the PMK must be connected in depressurized condition only p = 0.
Do not perform connection if there is flow in the hydraulic circuit.
The raster must proper snap into place! Do not operate the PMK with damaged raster!
PMK with hydraulic locking device can only be operated when pressure line is depressurized.
4. Disconnection
DANGER, risk of injury: the PMK must be disconnected in depressurized condition only p = 0.
Do not perform disconnection if there is flow in the hydraulic circuit.
PMK with hydraulic locking only can be operated when pressure line is depressurized.
If applicable insert the lever extension.
Pull the button of the raster and open the PMK.
Remove the mobile plate. The male and female couplers must be protected against damages and impurity.
Use docking station for the mobile plate and protection plate for the fixed plate.
If applicable remove the lever extension.
