EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
CAUTION
:
If generator A fails, generator B automatically takes over its
functions. The airframe electrical components and the instruments will be
supplied by the battery. The battery will no longer be charged! The failure is
also indicated by LANE warning lights will flashing.
CAUTION
:
If generator B fails, the battery will no longer be charged. The
engine still runs on generator A and the instruments will be supplied by the
battery. The function of the instruments depends on the state of charge of
the battery. The failure is not indicated by LANE warning lights.
If case of single generator failure:
1 Unecessary equipment OFF (to reduce loads)
2 Voltage Monitor
3 Land AS SOON AS PRACTICAL
NOTE: If it is necessary to reduce electrical loads due to an generator mal-
function, switch off electrical components and/or systems that are not es-
sential for the current flight conditions rather than pulling circuit breakers.
Load shedding in this manner will prevent accidental circuit breaker discon-
nection and loss of power to flight-critical systems.
If case of double generator failure:
CAUTION
:
In case of a double generator failure, the engine will stop,
however a restart is possible (both on ground and in flight) by performing the
following procedure:
1 BCKP SW (backup battery) ON
2 Fuel pumps (main and aux) Both ON
3 Starter ENGAGE
4 Unecessary equipment OFF (to reduce loads)
5 Land AS SOON AS PRACTICAL
WARNING
:
In case of emergency, the battery will supply reduced number
of necessary direct-current loads with power for 30 minutes.
CAUTION
:
A maintenance inspection has to be carried out after landing.
