Basic operation

Chapter 5:

Basic operation

Outputting the sound of a device
connected to the unit

The following describes the procedure up until listening to the

sound of a device connected to the unit.

Turn on the power of the connected device.

Press



STANDBY/ON to turn the power on.

Press INPUT SELECT or an input selection

button on the remote control.

Switch to the input you wish to play and then start playback

on the connected device.

Press the VOLUME to adjust the volume.

To temporarily mute the sound, press the

MUTE

. Press the

button again or adjust the volume to cancel mute.

Note

• When the unit is connected to a TV, set the volume to the

minimum level or mute the sound. Also, if the TV speaker

sound can be turned off in the settings menu of the TV,

set it to OFF.

Linking power for the unit and a TV

If a TV is connected to the unit’s optical digital audio input

terminal and the

Wake Up TV

function is turned

, then the

power for the unit will come on when the TV is turned on, and

the unit will switch to Optical In.

Press HOME MENU.

Press

/

to select “Wake Up TV”, then

press ENTER.

Press

/

to select “ON” or “OFF”, then

press ENTER.
