When replacement o f the SDRAM ( I C1201 or I C1221) on the MA I N Assy is required, identi f y the manu f acturer o f the SDRAM.
If the SDRAM that needs replacement was manu f actured by ELP I DA, both I C1201 and I C1221 must be replaced at the same
time.

f or service are manu f actured by SAMSUNG.

Con f irm the name o f the manu f acturer stamped on the sur f ace o f the part.
M easures to b e taken

If the SDRAM that needs replacement was manu f actured by ELP I DA:
Replace both I C1201 and I C1221 at the same time.

If the SDRAM that needs replacement was manu f actured by SAMSUNG:
Replacement o f only the de f ective SDRAM ( I C1201 or I C1221) is possible.
Poss ibl e m a l funct i ons
If SDRAMs made by di ff erent manu f acturers are mounted on the MA I N Assy, the f ollowing mal f unctions may occur:

The power does not come on.

High-speed dubbing disabled

Other mal f unctions related to the SDRAM
By ELP I DA (replacement o f both SDRAMs required) By SAMSUNG (replacement o f only the de f ective SDRAM possible)
F or compliance with the sa f ety standards, removal o f the insulators and their set screws, as shown in the f igure below,
is prohibited. If they are removed, this product may not meet the o ff icial standards. NEVER remove these parts f rom
the product.
