Step 1: Fill in the numbers

Step 2: Cross Multiply
(100) (250)

(95) X (New unknown rate)
(100 X (New unknown rate) = 23750)
Step 3: Divide both sides by 100 to get new rate
X (New rate) = 237.5
Step 4: Subtract the new rate from the set rate to get the box adjustment
(Rounded new rate)
– (Set rate) = (Box adjustment)
237 - 250 = -13
