A positive acknowledgement indicates that the text display has received the data without
error and has carried out the command. A negative acknowledgement indicates that the
data has not been received without error and/or the command has not been carried out.
Operating Modes
With the exception of Auto Display of text memory contents on/off and Status display
on), the same operating modes and special functions are available when driven in serial
as in parallel. Data communication must be carried out in accordance with the protocol
described above.
Important: Binary-coded values are interpreted as signed integers in serial drive as well
(see page 3-4)!
