PX 30 and PX 120 Operating Manual

Character Sets

IBM Character Set

The character set on the PX 30 and PX 120 corresponds to the extended ASCII character
set from IBM. Characters 00

to 1F

(0-31 decimal) are interpreted partly as special

control codes in the display's monitor mode (see section entitled "Control Codes" on
Pages 52 and 53). The character FF

(255 decimal) is used to identify an empty text

memory.
Characters from the IBM character set that can be represented are 20

to FE

(32 to 254

decimal); one exception is the character 35

(#) which is reserved as a variable marker.
