6.8.2 Pull-down bed

Warning of dangers

• Do not use the bed to store luggage. Only leave the bedding on the bed.
• Remove any articles from the bed and check that the manoeuvre zone is clear before operating the bed.
• The bed must only be handled by adults when the vehicle is stationary and the engine is not running.
• When moving the bed, do not extend the hands towards the curtains (risk of jamming).
• Pay attention to risks of falling when bunkbeds or beds are used by children, particularly those who are less than 6 years old.
• Young children must not be left on the bed unattended. Forbid and prevent them from operating the bed. Keep the control 

unit out of their reach. Prevent falls from the bed by using safety nets. 

A-Class motorhomes

Sleeping position

The bed fitted against the ceiling (roof) in day position must be lowered over the cabin seats for the night.
Check that the spotlights under the bed are off.

• Close the insulating or isothermal sliding blinds over the windows and the windscreen
• Push the driver seat backs and the passenger seat backs forward (towards the front of the vehicle)
• Lift up the sunshades
• Make sure that there are no people or objects on the bed.
• Unlock the retaining strap.
• Lower the bed to night position
• Once the bed is in the lowered position, install the ladder before climbing into the bed.

Maximum permissible load on the bed : 200 kg.
