PREPARING THE MODEL FOR FLIGHT
Li-Pol Battery Installation
1. Remove the Canopy from the model. Place the battery on the platform and lock it into place using the provided Velcro strap
2. Check the Center of Gravity (CG). Place the helicopter on a flat horizontal surface. Then rotate the flybar so that it is
perpendicular to the tail truss of your model. Lift the helicopter by the flybar by balancing the model on your index fingers.
The tail boom should be parallel to the ground. If it is not, shift the battery pack backwards or forwards until the model is
properly balanced. Then strap the battery into the correct potion.
3. Turning on the Model
Always turn on the Tx and then supply power to the model.
a. Ensure that the throttle trimmer is in the minimum (all the way down) position and the all the other . . ., that the trimmers
are in the neutral positions, that the GEAR toggle is in the lower (away from oneself) position, and that the flight mode
toggle is in the NOR position (away from oneself).
b. Once again check that the flight mode toggle is in the NOR position (away from oneself). Attaching the battery to the model
while the Tx is set for 3D flight mode could cause the motor to start unexpectedly which could lead to damaging the model
or personal injury to yourself or bystanders.
c. Turn the Tx on. The Battery Power Indicator on the Tx will flash for about 10 seconds. ATTENTION do not touch the control
sticks on the Tx while the Battery Power Indicator is flashing.
d. Place the model on a flat surface. While the Battery Power Indicator is blinking connect the battery output wire to the
battery input wire on the model. When making this battery connection ensure that the polarity of the wires are matching.
ATTENTION!! Do not force this connection; the connectors will fit together only in one way. This ensures that the polarity of the
connection (+) and (-) is correct. The red wire should match up with the red wire, and the black with the black.
e. Wait while the Rx and Gyro calebrate. Do not touch or move the model while this is happening.
f.
Immediately after the Li-Pol battery is connected to the model, the blue and red LED on the gyro will start to flash.
g. The initialization process will take about 10 seconds. After which the connection between the Rx and Tx will be completed.
h. If the initialization process has been completed successfully the LED on the gyro will emit a solid blue light. Once the Li-Pol
battery has been connected to the model be careful as the model will now respond to control commands.

If after 10 seconds the LED on the Tx and Rx no longer are blinking and the LED on the gyro is still flashing red and blue,
this means that the radio link has not been established and the initialization process could not be completed. In this case
disconnect the battery from the model, then turn off the Tx and start the connection process from the beginning.
j.
If the initialization process has been successfully completed place the canopy on the model and you are ready to fly your
model.
ATTENTION!! Do not try to initialize or setup your model when other models are flying in the immediate vicinity.
